Often times when you think about exercise, being at home and being at work don’t really come to mind. Unless you have a home gym built, you usually think of going to a gym to exercise. These types of chairs are awesome. You can simply buy any yoga ball or balance ball and use that to sit on instead of your regular old office chair. Or, if you have to wheel around a lot in your office you can get a chair that has a yoga ball on top with wheels on the bottom so that you get the benefits of mobility, while also getting a great workout from your balance ball chair.
The main thing that your balance ball will do is to help you to increase your balance. Since you have to keep yourself propped up because the ball in a round surface, it increases your core strength. This is your abdominal muscles and other muscles in that region. By increasing those, you will have much better balance (and a greater looking figure too). All of these benefits from simply just sitting down all day.
If you bounce on the ball (not to an extreme or else your coworkers will think you are odd) you will also get a great workout not only for your calves but also for you upper thighs. It really can workout your whole entire body. If you keep some free weights near your desk, you can do a multitude of upper body workouts on the yoga ball chair that will really cause you to work on your core muscles since you’ll be concentrating on the upper body and trying to balance at the same time.
